Davey, P., 2009: A local species in southern England and south Wales, the larva feeding in the rootstocks of plantains (Plantago spp.). In Dorset, the moth is frequent locally in the Poole Basin on tracks or disturbances across dry heaths and at low density along the coastal belt; in both biotypes, buck’s-horn plantain (Plantago cornopus) is a likely host plant.
